Who you are dealing with
Clean Page Press is a book production service run by DistroCode LLC, Sterling Heights, Michigan, USA. "We" means DistroCode LLC. "You" means the author or publisher placing the order.
Your book stays yours
- You keep 100% of the rights to your book, and every file we make for it.
- You keep 100% of your royalties. We never take a percentage, now or later.
- You own your KDP account and every login. We check your files in Kindle Previewer and against KDP's print specs, and send you the screenshots. You upload them to your own KDP account with our step-by-step guide. We never need your login, and there is no screen share.
- We never sell copyright filing, ISBNs or "marketing results". If you want a copyright or an ISBN, we point you to the official route and you buy it yourself.
- No hidden fees. The price on the page is the price you pay. Add-ons are listed with their own prices on our prices page, and a book over 80,000 words is quoted in writing before you pay.
What we do
We format, edit and design books, and help with KDP setup, as described in the package you order. Prices: Starter $249 (10 business days), Standard $379 (13 business days), Launch $749 (18 business days). Work outside the package is quoted in writing before we start.
What you provide
- A final manuscript. Text changes after formatting count as revisions.
- Confirmation that you own or have permission to use all text, images and fonts you send us.
- Answers to our questions within 5 business days, so we can keep to the delivery date. If an answer takes longer, the delivery date moves by the same number of days.
Price and payment
The price is the fixed price on the page when you order. Payment is by Stripe Payment Link. Starter and Standard are paid in full before work starts. Launch is a $375 deposit before work starts and $374 before we send the final files. Add-ons ordered alone are paid in full before work starts. Prices are in US dollars. Any sales tax, VAT or other tax due where you live is yours to pay.
Delivery and revisions
Delivery time starts when we receive your final manuscript and payment. Revision rounds included: as listed in your package. Extra rounds: $35 each.
Our guarantee
If KDP rejects your files for a formatting reason, we fix them free until they're accepted. This covers margins, gutter, bleed, trim size, fonts, page count and table of contents links. It does not cover text changes you make after approving the files, covers we did not make, metadata, or KDP content reviews. Claim window: 60 days after delivery.
Cancellations and refunds
- Cancel before we start work: 100% refund, back to the card you paid with.
- Cancel after work starts and before we deliver the first draft: 50% refund.
- Cancel after the first draft: no refund, because the guarantee fixes the files free until KDP accepts them.
- No processing fee on any refund.
- Once you approve the final files, the order is complete. The fix-until-accepted guarantee still applies.
Confidentiality
We keep your manuscript private and use it only for your order. See our privacy policy.
Limits
We cannot promise sales, rankings or reviews, and we are not responsible for Amazon's decisions on content, pricing or account matters. Our total liability for any claim about an order is limited to the fees you paid for that order. We are not liable for lost sales, lost royalties or other indirect losses.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, USA. Any dispute goes to the courts of Macomb County, Michigan, where DistroCode LLC is based.
