KDP hardcover margins: do they differ from your paperback file?
Hardcover margins follow the paperback table: gutter 0.375 inch up to 150 pages, 0.5 to 300, 0.625 to 500, 0.75 to 550. Outside margins are at least 0.25 inch.

On Amazon.com, a black ink paperback at a regular trim costs $2.30 up to 110 pages, then $1.00 plus $0.012 a page. At 300 pages that is $4.60.

The paperback minimum is 24 pages for black ink and premium color, 72 for standard color. The maximum depends on paper and trim, such as 828 on white at 6 x 9.

KDP lists 16 paperback trim sizes on Amazon.com plus a custom size: five regular and eleven large, which cost more. Most novels fit 5 x 8 to 5.5 x 8.5.
